Pitch@Palace Commonwealth took place at St. James’s Palace on 16th April, 2018 as part of the Commonwealth Summit.
It was an opportunity for Entrepreneurs from across the Commonwealth countries to Pitch their business to an Audience of CEOs, Influencers, Angels, Mentors and potential Investors and Business Partners.

Pitch@Palace Commonwealth saw representation from three ASEAN Entrepreneurs:

Agrome IQ International
Brunei Darussalam

Agrome IQ International has developed an innovative agritech and educational technology platform. It aims to support the next generation of growers to achieve sustainable farm systems. Agrome IQ is one of the only ASEAN based start-ups in the FARM 491 incubator programme run by the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, UK. Agrome IQ’s educational technology curriculum has been integrated into five schools and community initiatives.

EnergyNova
Singapore

EnergyNova’s ‘H2Batt’ battery helps commercial drone operators fly their drones longer, further and with less hassle. EnergyNova has secured seed funding of SGD 100,000 and partnerships with Temasek Polytechnic, Duralite Power and MOBOT, an electric scooter company, to develop an

e-scooter running on H2Batt. EnergyNova has also been selected by Shell as one of five start-ups to take part in its incubation programme and has secured interest from a drone company and two military organisations, in Singapore and China.

Grub Cycle
Malaysia

Grub Cycle is a social supermarket dedicated to reducing food waste. It allows customers to purchase surplus groceries that are usually removed from shelves at a bargain price. Grub Cycle has achieved significant media coverage and won two awards at the Alliance Biz Smart Challenge 2016. It has raised MYR 1 million in grants and funding and prevented 3,000 kilos of food from being wasted, saving customers MYR 30,000. It is currently raising funds to facilitate the expansion plan as it grows nationwide and expands into Singapore. It is also preparing to launch its Mobile Supermarket franchise to be rolled out across Malaysia.
